Default Regarding the "non-fee" of the game..

I'm not sure if this topic already has been discussed, and I surely did not find any similiar when searching, but:

Guild Wars is to be a MMORPG that does not require pay per month.
I've contemplated on buying it, but what worries me is if you have to give them your credit card number, even though there isn't any fee.
Can someone enlighten me?

Credit card info is only necessary if you buy the game online and download it.

You can buy a box edition at any regular retailer if you want.

no Credit Card needed to play...

Its not a MMORPG,
its considered a CORPG (competitive online roleplaying game)

that's cool...but i'd rather people remove the word 'roleplaying' from the whole thing since the COMMON connotation of roleplaying is speaking in character, which almost nobody does

MMCG
massively multiplayer competitive game, but then the 'competetive' part is not realy needed either because all games are competetive...even ones with no pvp...like eq2

MMG
massively multiplayer game

I just refer to it as "Guild Wars."

It really is a genre of it's own.

I'm always in-character, except for the sake of brevity in times of combat.

Massively usually insists its a persistent world - which this is not. I'd just say its a online competitive game.

But really, who cares?

I believe "Online Game" fits it the best.
